"My grandfather, Fred Porter, was a builder in the early 1900s. He worked on many public buildings throughout Australia, including Sydney's State Theatre, and homes such as "Boomerang" in Elizabeth Bay. He loved the look of traditional paint finishes used throughout Europe and often used them in his work.
It was shortly after my grandfather's death that I discovered a number of old diaries with the recipes for these traditional paints and decided to produce improved versions, combining traditional methods and modern technology."

Jamie Durie has officially launched his new Signature range of paints.
Jamie’s commitment to the environment has seen him personally select a range of exterior and interior paint finishes that are zero to low VOC, meaning they have minimal volatile organic compounds and are good for your health and the environment.
"When it came to developing my own range of paints I looked no further than my trusted friends at Porter's Paints in Sydney to help me create them. They are the true innovators when it comes to paints and finishes and no-one can question their quality and experience. The range is a collaboration between Jamie Durie’s company Patio, Australia’s most unique paint manufacturer Porter’s Original Paints and the Sydney Harbour Paint Company.
